Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Gallop (https://gollap.mindgrid.fun) collects and how it is used. Gallop does not require an account, and we never ask for your email address, password, or payment details to play.
Information we process
- Race data. While you race, your browser sends your typing progress to our server so other riders can see your horse. We compute finish times and speed on the server. Race data is kept in memory only for the length of the race and is not stored afterwards.
- Display name. If you type a name, it is shown to the other riders in your race. It is not stored on our server after the race.
- Server logs. Like most websites, our web server records standard request logs (such as IP address, browser type, and the page requested) for security and troubleshooting. Logs are kept for a limited time and then deleted.
- Local storage. Your chosen horse and name are saved in your browser's local storage so they are remembered next time. This data never leaves your device unless you race.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit Gallop and how races are played (for example, races started and finished, and typing speed). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies. You can learn how Google uses this data at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites and opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Children
Gallop is a general-audience game and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Your choices and rights
You can clear local storage and cookies in your browser settings at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access or delete personal data we hold. Because Gallop has no accounts, we hold very little; contact us and we will help.
Changes
We may update this policy. Changes take effect when posted on this page, with a new effective date.
